A UNIQUE TERROIR
Rising between 60 and 100 meters above sea level, the vineyard, exclusively on hillsides, faces north and east, forming a natural amphitheater. This rare orientation promotes slow ripening, resulting in complexity and finesse. The soil is clay-limestone, with variations depending on the altitude: the limestone bedrock is exposed in the upper part, ideal for producing dry white wines. The lighter soils at the bottom of the slope lend elegance to the sweet wines. The omnipresence of clay on the hillside helps retain moisture from the autumn mists, essential for the development of Botrytis cinerea. The slope provides natural drainage, crucial for high-quality production.
